Together since 1992, PoteSmote Music is a collective of musicians organized by Peter Smith, leader of The Peter Smith Quartet and PSQ Funk. You can hear them regulary on JazzFM, CIUT, CKLN, CBC and CFBX .

Potesmote Music has provided live music at countless functions private and public such as launch events, grand openings , conventions, retirements, weddings, graduations, birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs, and promotions.

We offer a number of different styles and can mix and match for a cost effective but varied program:

The Peter Smith Jazz, Funk, or Latin Groups
can be from two to seven players with Guitar or Piano; either instrumental or featuring a vocalist

The Peter Smith Swing or Advocats Big Band
revives a bygone era with from 10 to 20 musicians and a singer

The Classic Combo:
features Flute and either Organ, Piano, Guitar or Harp with optional Double Bass, Cello, Violin, or Voice.

Media highlights include appearances on City TV's Breakfast Television, and interviews on the CBC Nightly News and Roger's Daytime.
The Advocats Big Band is in it's eleventh year at the Beaches International Jazz Festival, while the Peter Smith Quartet was featured on CJRT live at the Ontario Science Centre, performing tunes from their second CD.

PoteSmote Music can also provide specialized styles performed by associate bands in the R&B, blues/rock, Latin, pop, Dixieland and folk genres.
